The Release of: Street Fighter V

Street Fighter is a fighting game developed and published by Capcom and loved by millions. In similar ways as the Franchise Tekken the game’s playable characters originate from different countries around the world, each with his or her own unique fighting style. This game is the sequel to Street Fighter IV after 8 years after the release. The game was released in February 16th 2016 for Microsoft Windows: PC and Sony PlayStation 4 and Capcom plans to implement cross-platform play between the Windows and PlayStation 4 which will allow both platforms to play against each other on different devices.

Street Fighter V

The characters within this game consist of 8 Characters that have always been iconic in the series, Along with 4 new characters that haven’t been in the series roster for years and 4 new characters all together exclusive for Street Fighter V. This game has a new clever mechanic that make each character more interesting in term of fighting called the ‘V System’ as this would give the your character a temporary advantage in terms of Grapples, combo extender, double damage e.t.c and each ability is different per character. Unfortunately the downfall in this game comes from the lack of game modes that where present and consistent through previous instalments, There is no arcade mode or Vs Cpu mode, only Story and Survial mode are available which limit the user hugely.

  • Great Combat
  • Great Graphics

  • Very little single player content.
  • Very little character roster compared to older games.

This is great if your a fan of the series but will be slightly disappointed if your favourite character didn’t make it into this game after 8 years of waiting for a sequel. Also this game lack some fundamental game modes that expected in every fighting game like ‘Arcade’ and ‘VS Battle’.
